About these notes

Global Sales Compliance is an independent set of field notes on the paperwork of running a Dutch BV from abroad: what each step needs, what it costs and how long it really takes.

Global Sales Compliance is an independent guide for founders who are setting up or running a Dutch private limited company (a BV) while living somewhere else. It covers the paperwork only: documents, the notary, the Chamber of Commerce (KVK), the UBO register, directors and powers of attorney, share capital, bank accounts, the VAT number, bookkeeping, annual accounts and the registered address.

We write it as field notes. That means short paragraphs, the steps in the order they really happen, and a box for the thing nobody warned you about. Where we give a number, a fee or a deadline, we say where it comes from, so you can check it yourself against the official source.

We are not a law firm or a tax adviser, and nothing here is legal or tax advice for your specific case. Rules and fees change. When a step carries real legal or financial weight, confirm it with a Dutch notary, accountant or the authority involved before you act.

If you find a step that is out of date or a number that no longer matches the official source, tell us and we will correct the note and add the date of the change.

No sponsored notes. No affiliate links. If a step has a cost, the note says what it is and where the number comes from.
